Run With The Hunted is a socially and politically charged hardcore band from Phoenix, Arizona. Born in late 2006 from the ashes of other projects, RWTH members decided to create something honest, sincere and, above all else, passionate. Their sound is personal and distinct without fitting any certain preset: drawing influences from a wide range of bands like Indecision, The Hope Conspiracy, Trial, Shai Hulud and The Suicide File, Run with the Hunted seeks to carry forward the flame of intensity and integrity of its predecessors while bringing its own sense of innovation and originality.
After two albums released in the USA, RWTH are ready to bring their proposal to Europe with "Everything Familiar": a nine song album which comprises all the material recorded by the band so far, including the four tracks who appeared on the limited 1-sided 12inch "Destroy All Calendars" on Glory Kid Records. While the newer material clearly shows an evolution in the songwriting, the approach chosen by the band hasn't mutated: mid tempo hardcore, with lots of melodies, breakdowns, and vocals ranging from screams, to spoken vocal parts, to sing alongs.
Though drawing blood from band members' personal experiences, lyrics desperately manifest the band's angst towards modern life in this destructive civilization and the frustrations that it causes, not forgetting their struggle in bringing back radical politics and ideas within a counter-culture that was once a potent threat to mainstream society and oppressive system.
After two successful west-coast tours in less than one year, RWTH is currently on a one-month tour through USA, Canada and Mexico with the almighty Anchor from Sweden. Plans are to hit Europe for a full tour in late fall/winter 09, be sure not to miss their intense live sets!
