BIOGRAPHY
The history of this band dates back to 1999 when, after the demise of Concave, Confronto is born with the will to produce a more aggressive sound and lyrics about the reality tasted in the streets of their hometowns, Baixada Fluminense and Petropolis (Rio De Janeiro), where a silent majority lives with no perspectives about the future, a day at a time just because it seems to be the best available option.
In less than an year, Confronto recorded a demotape and played at Verdurada, in front of more than one thousand people in each edition and shortly after released their first album, The Insurrection and toured brazil with Agnostic Front (USA), Good Clean Fun (USA), Nueva Etica (Argentina), Entrefuego (Chile) and Heaven Shall Burn.
The Insurrection was released in Europe too where Confronto toured in the summer of 2003, playing also at big festival like fluff fest and ieper.
After a split with Fall Of A Season, in 2005 Confronto release their second album "Causa Mortis", distributed by four labels with two thousand copies sold in less than 6 months. In the summer of 2005 Confronto headed back to Europe for an extensive tour (2 months and a half), and back in Brazil toured the northeast part of the country, with insane sold-out shows, playing more than 100 shows in one single year. After playing most of the south american countries during 2006 and doing a two-month european tour in 2007, the band goes back to studio to record their third album: Sanctuarium which has been released by 78 Life Records on CD and Refoundation Records on vinyl format. The new album delivers 10 songs of the usual relentless metalcore influnced by Earth Crisis/Obituary/Slayer/Point Of No Return against the horrors of capitalism, vivisection and imperialism.
Shortly after the release of the new album the band embarks on a successful european tour with the great Die Young.
